RAINBOW BRIDGE

We dedicate this page to our member's DRL dogs that have moved on to the Rainbow Bridge. Our own dogs often took a "back seat" and patiently waited for us to make time for them while we were trying to give other Rescue Dogs a second chance at life.

We also honor the rescue Dobes that wrapped their paws around our hearts and allowed us to love them, shared our lives and await us at the Rainbow Bridge.

Delilah  DRL#1513 was adopted at 5 months of age in 1985 and died Nov. 17, 1998.  She had been given up by her owners because she was too "big".  She was a very special girl.

Rusty  DRL#1803, was 7 years old when he came to us on Sept. 4, 1993.  He weighed 43 lbs and had a hole in his side from a sharp object, and was terrified of men and flashlights.  He died in Sept, 1998, weighing 95 lbs.  He had become a "smiler" and had overcome many of his fears.

Bandit, DRL#1688, Athena, DRL#1713
Bandit was found wandering in Hollywood.  He became a devoted best friend. He lost his left rear leg to osteosarcoma; a year later a reoccurrence eventually let to euthanasia in Dec. 1998.

Athena, came in at about 6 yrs of age and lived as a devoted companion until age 13.

Deke, DRL #1672 and his friend Adria.  Deke came in when 5 months old and became a sweet, loving dog.  He died of "dancing dobes disease" in 1997.
